Yeah, I know, it looked better before.  But give it time!!

Black dog

When I was small I always remember my Mum sometimes saying that she had the 'black dog'.  I think it used to mean that she was a bit down in the dumps.

Now I know exactly what she meant cos I've got him today!

The black dog.

Stoopid mutt! Jenny, put him at the top of your Bastard List for me please, then he might sod off!!

I broke it already!/A lovely weekend.

Oh, no, I think I've blobbed it already!! This is not good.

We've been away at the caravan for the weekend and I couldn't get online.  This was due to the stupid wi-fi service they use wouldn't accept my card when I tried to buy more surfing time!

Just for the record they are called WiFiSpark or something like that. I'm not impressed.  It caused me loads of stress and hassle cos there were a few things I had to do online while I was away and that put paid to the lot! Well enough of the feeble excuses.

It was a lovely weekend but the little kids did nothing but fight! I coulda strangled the pair of 'em several times over!

Anyway to cheer us all up here's some pretty pictures from the weekend...

And some snowdrops from last week taken at Hengar Manor.

I do love snowdrops cos it means spring is not too far away.

(It's still bloody cold though!)

Hey!

How's everyone's year going so far? Even though we're in February already I am going to make a new resolution:

I hereby promise to write in my blog at least twice a week!

Yes I know, you've heard it all before.  But I will prove it to you, my dear few followers that are left, that I speak the truth!

Well spring is nearly here and everything is just waiting to bust into life.  My seeds are planted in the greenhouse with a heater, and already there are cauliflowers, lettuces and a few sweet peas sprouting already.  There are snowdrops and crocuses outside my bedroom window (downstairs room) and newly planted primroses in bright colours.

The kids are well into their netball, football etc at school. (They must be mad its freezing!)  And what always puzzles me is why do they send my small children swimming every week in this weather, and then wonder why half of them are absent with stinking colds!? I always used to wonder this myself when we came out to get on the bus, which was usually late, with dripping hair, soggy socks, and a swimming bag that weighs a ton cos its full of wet towel, cozzy, half eaten Mars bar, (we were allowed to eat such abominably sugary things in those days and it never did us any harm) etc. Miserable!  How much nicer it would have been to go in summer when its warm and sunny, and everyone has half a chance of NOT catching pneumonia before they get back to school. Seems logical to me.
