New news

Hi everyone, how you all doing? Well I don't know where the year has gone so far. I certainly haven't got done all that I wanted to get done! But I'm still here, plodding on through the chaos as always!

What a crap summer we've had too. Did it ever rain! But it seems to be brightening up now, typically, the kids are all back at school.

Well, since last time I was here, I've gone and bought a card-making business, to go with my jewellery one! It was advertised in the local paper as a great deal of craft stuff for sale-best offer accepted. So I went to look at it. You wouldn't believe how much stuff was there. It would fill at least 2 craft shops. I made them an offer, and they accepted it. It was sold by a lady whose best friend was card-making as a business but she died and so it was left to this dear lady to dispose of her friends belongings as I don't think she had any relatives. I was quite honoured when she accepted my offer. She was, understandably, quite emotional, and said her friend would have been glad it was going to someone crafty who would appreciate it and use it as she had. I got a true bargain there, though, definately.

I had to hire a huge van to get it all home. It took all afternoon to pack it and transport it home. Then all evening to unpack it into Darren's spare room. I am still going through it all today! Still finding stuff I didn't know was there. It has been like a few Christmases all at once opening the boxes and finding delightful crafty things to play with!! Also quite a lot of expensive equipment came with it, like die cutter machines, and sticker machines, laminators and such like. I do love toys!!

That has kept me busy for a while. Then I aquired this....

which we have just enjoyed nearly two weeks in, and I am about to troop them all down there again this afternoon after school for the weekend. It is near Padstow on a lovely site with a pool and a park, club house etc. Spang next to the beach! All bookings gratefully recieved for next year!

Glad things are going well for you. Yup opening all those boxes and finding stuff you didn't expect is just great. You should have some great holidays in that static, almost home from home those things. Lets hope the weather is much beter next year eh?!

Suzie, my old china plate, how lovely to read you again.

I cannot describe the jealousy i am feeling with your card takeover bid and all that wonderful stuff! Oh yes, I would spend many wonderful hours doing that too!

Brilliant, a holiday caravan to run to! fantastic. my mate had one of those for years near Bournemouth, the times I had staying down there. And my kids! Then her fracking dad sold it - Git
