What a dreadful shame...

...look what's happened to Weston pier. We were only on there 10 days ago.



My thoughts are with the people of Weston, the pier owners and employees, and everyone young and old with happy memories of this place. It is so sad to see it destroyed like this.

Here are a couple of my memories of it from the other week...


May it rise from the ashes and be rebuilt even stronger and brighter than before.

I know, how utterly devastating. I saw it on The One Show the other night as Anne Widdecombe had visited there only last week.

A Mother's Place is in the Wrong said...

Such sad pictures. They reminded me of when our lovely West Pier was destroyed by fire five years ago - such mindless destruction is completely beyond comprehension (at least in our case it was arson!) Let's hope your Pier survives - ours is still a wreck. Very sad. M :-(
